Casa Encantada is a 1930s estate in Bel Air: about 40,000 square feet, seven bedrooms, 8.4 acres. Its last owner listed it for $250 million in 2023. It went to a foreclosure auction in July 2026 and sold for $130 million.
The buyer was an LLC. In September the Wall Street Journal reported that the LLC was linked to Peter Thiel, the PayPal and Palantir co-founder, and that he does not intend to live there. It is an investment property, to be renovated.
