In July 2022 Kylie Jenner posted a black-and-white photo of herself and Travis Scott standing between two private jets, with the caption: “You wanna take mine or yours?” Her plane, a Bombardier Global 7500, is reported at about $72.8 million.

Days later, flight trackers logged her jet flying 17 minutes from Camarillo to Van Nuys, about 40 miles, a drive of roughly 45 minutes. Allegedly, she may not even have been on board: Forbes reported it was likely the plane repositioning for a trip to Europe. Either way, the jet flew. At an estimated $9,456 an hour to operate a Global 7500, burning about 450 gallons of fuel an hour, those 17 minutes cost roughly $2,680 and about 128 gallons of jet fuel, more than many families spend on rent in a month.

$72.8 million could pay a full year of rent for 4,080 homeless veterans. Against a fortune estimated at about $700 million, the jet cost her what about $20,061 costs a typical family.

The jet's value is as reported by aviation and celebrity press. The 17-minute flight is from public flight tracking; Forbes reported she may not have been aboard. Its estimated cost is not added to the total.
