In April 2025 a Miami Beach mansion called Okto sold for a recorded $74.3 million, a record for a finished home on La Gorce Island. According to The Real Deal, citing sources, the buyer was hedge fund manager Nick Maounis, founder of Verition Fund Management, and his wife Susan.
The house has 21,700 square feet, nine bedrooms, a 100-foot-long great room, an elevator, a large pool, 260 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage and a spiral staircase modelled on the Guggenheim. The previous owners, the Kollmann family, had paid $15.7 million for it in 2010 and used it as a vacation home.

The Real Deal reported the price at $75 million, citing sources; Redfin lists the recorded sale at $74.3 million. We use the lower figure in the totals. The sellers were the Kollmann family, German textile owners who used it as a vacation home.
