To Packer, it felt like $5,735.
Australian billionaire James Packer, former chairman of Crown Resorts, closed on Le Belvedere in Bel Air for $110 million in May 2025, The Real Deal reported. It was the most expensive home sale in Los Angeles County at the time.
The house took five and a half years to build: 10 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, 14 fireplaces, two swimming pools, a Turkish bath, a wine cellar with its own dining room, a private cinema and parking for 20 cars.
$110 million could feed about one million hungry kids three meals a day for a whole year. Against a fortune Forbes estimates at $3.7 billion, it cost Packer what about $5,735 costs a typical American family.
